Development Funding to Revive & Convert a Historic Seafront Hotel
Our client, an experienced developer, had identified a prime development opportunity on the seafront in Colwyn Bay, North Wales.
Their target: The derelict Imperial Hotel once iconic, now in need of transformation.
The Imperial Hotel was built in Colwyn Bay's heyday as a prime British seaside holiday destination around the end of the 19th century.
The once grand hotel was left to decay after WWII and was practically abandoned by the end of the 20th century.
Our client saw the potential & secured planning permission to transform the old building into a stunning mixed-use development, comprised of 21 high-spec apartments and 5 ground-floor retail units.
But, in order to make this ambitious development happen they needed a fast, responsive funding partner.
Lowry Capital provided £1,500,000 in funding over multiple tranches for the continued development of the site.
The final result is a stunning example of how a talented developer & a flexible funding partner can help to repurpose, regenerate & revive an Iconic old building.
The 5 new retails spaces below were all snapped up straight away and the high-end apartments have just hit the market, with demand expected to be strong.
